Consultation on Sockbridge and Tirril Neighbourhood Area Application

Overview

Westmorland and Furness Council has received an application from Sockbridge and Tirril Parish Council for the designation of a Neighbourhood Plan Area under Part 2 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. The area covers the whole of Sockbridge and Tirril parish.

A copy of the Neighbourhood Area application, including reasons why the parish council considers the area is appropriate and a map of the proposed neighbourhood area is available via the link below.

The designation of a Neighbourhood Area will enable a Neighbourhood Plan to be prepared for the area.

Your views

In line with the requirements of the regulations, we are required to publicise the area application and invite comments over a 6 week consultation period. Comments are therefore invited on this application from Thursday 6^th March to Thursday 17^th April 2025.
